Four letters and their accompanying envelopes sent by Capt Robert John Lillywhte of No.3 Squadron. Lillywhite, nephew of the famous cricketer and founder of the ' Lillywhite ' store in London, gained his Aero Club certificate in 1914 and was involved in Britain's first parachute jump at Hendon in the same year. A particularly clean example of the Princess Mary Gift tin, the type given to non-smokers with a bullet pencil. Tin with bright finish with 1914 dated bullet pencil on original packing card.
