WW1 British Trench Map No.9229 centred on the lines around Kemmel corrected up to 29.06.1918 with a message form printed on the reverse. Printed by the R.E. Survey Co. probably an economy measure, the map is crammed with detail with British positions named and some identified detail to German lines. This example is a Mk.2A1 introduced from 1944, essentially very similar to the M2, the Mk2A1 is distinguished from it's predecessor by having only one yellow band at the neck. Christmas 1944 postcard celebrating the Polish involvement at the battle of Monte Cassino. The card was sold for 6d with proceeds from the sale going to the Fund for Polish soldiers wounded in Italy and France. Postally unused but with a Polish Christmas greeting in ink. Excellent, clean condition.
