Whist Party Day badges are usually made of a number of things, mainly tin, aluminium or pressed paper, this one is very unusually made of pressed brown leather! Beautifully made as it's also bound in leather around the edges. This was sold/given away at the 1935 Hessen Nassau Darmstad Gau day (SA). Perfect condition with pin back. This is an original WW1 Bombardment of Hartlepool British Propaganda "For Kultur" Iron Cross. Issued as a propoganda parody after the German navy attached the sea ports of Scarborough, Hartlepool and Whitby in December 1914. Made of iron has ‘For KULTURE’ diliverately miss-spelt. Look like a German Irin cross. Still has most of black paint.  read more

EK11 has not been cleaned and is dull nickel etc. The paper award certificate has been folded in the middle but other than that is undamaged. Awarded to Unteroffizier Otto Burkhardt 254 Inf Div.
