A rare example of the Imperial German Seitengewehr S 98/05 bayonet with saw-back upper edge. This consisted of 29 double sawback teeth 10.3" along the spine of the blade. This one is marked on the blade riccasso WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G. OBERNDORF a.N. This marking is also repeated on the scabbard where it is stamped in smaller letters. A good, clean example of a padded RAF Pilot wing, probably for use in tropical climes. Oatmeal coloured thread on blue wool with good definition to the feathers of the wing backed with black cotton onto which four pop fasteners have been sewn allowing for easy removal. Individual padding segments give good relief to wing. Good example with some signs of light use. read more
