Compass formed from an ordinary blackened brass, RAF service fly button. One button swings on top of the other, pointing due north, luminous. In good condition with some oxidation. Not as common as it's Army counterpart.

Introduced in 1933 these badges were worn by DJ equivalents of NCOs and officers with the colour of the circle and Sigrune indicating the wearer's Oberbann, in this case Oberbann 1. In excellent, unissued condition with RZM label to the reverse. read more

Embroidered cotton on wool Luftwaffe arm badge worn by flying personnel who were not entitled to wear the other metal qualification badges. Introduced in 1936 and worn on the left forearm of the Luftwaffe uniform. In good, worn condition with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform. A ’plastic’ battledress escape and evasion button compass. Compass appears as an innocuous button. Black plastic button with magnetised points, marked to its reverse with dots. It was used, suspended from cotton thread and then swung freely. Excellent working order. This was intended for use with the RAF battledress. Uncommon. read more
