WW1 British trench Wristlet or Wristwatch.

WW1 Period, British Wristlet or wristwatch fitted with a removable protective guard to the face. Typical narrow original leather strap which has registered design number to reverse, with a silver plated brass bodied case with a white dial. Face cover, also design marked is bent over strap lugs and features design numbers to one lug. Watch in working order although it would appear to need a service. These early wristwatches were very popular with British officers on duty in the trenches.
