A ’plastic’ battledress escape and evasion button compass. Compass appears as an innocuous button. Black plastic button with magnetised points, marked to its reverse with dots. It was used, suspended from cotton thread and then swung freely. Excellent working order. This was intended for use with the RAF battledress. Uncommon.  read more

Wartime logbooks to P/O George.S.Percival. Trained in South Africa (note in logbook stating that previous logbook destroyed as a result of enemy action) Percival qualified as an Observer/Bomb Aimer but went on to become a Navigator with 42 OTU in Blenheims. WW1 Imperial German Musician's grouping comprising a Fife, Schwalbennester, and an official Heeresmusikkorps stamp. The Fife is made of black ebony with silver plated fittings and is maker marked 'Gebr.Monnig-Markneukirchen' and is in excellent condition.
