WW1 No.5 Mk.I Hand Grenade, known more colloquially as the ' Mills '. Good example, has a 1916 dated brass base plug by ' D.F.Co ' - Derwent Foundry Co Ltd. Exeter Place, Derby.with brass filler plug and brass core. Body marked ' X ' with 85%+ remaining of the pink painted filling ring indicating an Ammanol filling.All parts present and fully strippable. Good, overall condition
