Civil Air Guard cap badge.
A chromed struck, crowned wreath containing the enamelled letters ' CAG '. Intended for wear in the CAG FS style cap, the badge was introduced shortly after the formation of the CAG in 1938. The CAG was formed to expand pilot training in response to building up the RAF reserve.

Nickel silver finish 1870 Patt.German Red Cross belt buckle. This type of buckle was in use until superceded in 1938 by the Nazi version. This two piece example is in excellent condition with bright nickel and 95% of frosting to the brass centre. read more

No visible manufacturer's marks to the buckle but with a 1938 date and the manufacturer ' Paulmann & Crone, Ludenscheid ' stamped to the leather tab.
