Superb example of a British Wolseley helmet with a pagri flash to the 9th (Kabul 1842) Light How. Bty. Originally a mountain battery the honour title was granted in commemoration of the ancestor battery's part in the 1st Afghan War.

Worn into the Nazi era until eventually replaced when the various veteran organisations were incoporated into the Stahlhelmbund. Probably a post 1939 example as it displays no evidence of having a national emblem just the cloth HJ diamond which was posted in regulations in 1942.
