A good example of an unmarked silver Infantry Assault badge. Zinc die struck construction with crimped steel hinge and catch. Residual silver wash to some areas but mostly base zinc finish to the majority of the badge. Good, original badge thought to be a product of Rudolf Karenth. read more
1863 Presentation Binoculars - Nottinghamshire Rifle Volunteer Interest.
A pair of early binoculars given as a shooting prize by T.M.Williams of the Worksop Rifle Volunteers. They were subsequently won by Col.Sgt.L.W.Latham of the 7th Notts Rifle Volunteers on 01/10/1863. This information is given on two silver escutcheons screwed to the extendable sun shields. Binoculars in good, used condition with leather intact and optics functioning. read more

Embroidered cloth formation signs for the 82nd West African Division. Dispatched to India 1944. Served in SEAC as part of the Fourteenth Army. Joined the 81st West African Division in the assault on Myohaung and the advance through Burma. Attractive examples backed with cotton to allow large pins to be mounted for easy removal . A Japanese Order of the Golden Kite; 7th Class.In silver with gilded falcon, 41.4 mm x 57 mm, on original ribbon with hook and eye fixing.Instituted in 1890 and conferred for bravery, leadership or command in battle, grades 5-7 were given to be given to o/r in the Army and Navy, it was officially abolished in 1947. Lacquered steel cased rounds dated 1944 manufactured by Waffenwerke Bruenn AG, Werk Bystrica whose ' dou ' code is seen as a head stamp. Label giving manufacturer's details etc present but torn to enable opening of the box. Good, clean condition.
