WW2 Japanese 1000 Stitch Senninbari.

Cotton Japanese Senninbari or one thousand stitch belt. The belt was worn around the waist under the shirt or uniform as a good luck charm. The symbolic 1000 stitches are hand stitched onto the double thickness cotton belt bordering an applied silk red circle symbolising the Japanese flag. Below this are some stitched characters, probably the recipient's name. Additionally there are two coins stitched into the belt as additional good luck symbols. Displaying some signs of wear but generally in clean condition with all ties intact.
