WW2 Croatian Air Legion Badge.

Embroidered on grey Luftwaffe backing, Croatian Air Legion badge. The badge consists of a winged Croatian checkerboard shield surmounted by the Ustase emblem. Worn on the right arm/breast of the standard Luftwaffe uniform to distinguish members of the Air Legion. An unissued, 1945 dated jungle green G.S.Beret as issued to British and Commonwealth forces in the Far East. Size 6 7/8 with date, size and manufacturer's details stamped to the interior aertex lining, these marks indicate Indian manufacture. Size is repeated in pencil to the crown.
