WW1 British Extending Box Trench Periscope.

WW1 British wooden bodied, trench periscope with extending facility. Periscope has inner sleeve which enables it to be extended by increments retained by a brass, sprung loaded catch to the side. No markings evident and in good working condition. This example clearly has a sliding cover to the objective lens which is now missing as is a side mounted handle although does retain fixings. WW2 Allied Central Interpretation Unit Bomb Plot - Bochum.

1944 bomb plot of Bochum produced by the Allied Central Interpretation Unit. Based at RAF Medmenham, the ACIU used AFPU photographs to build an up to date assessment of bomb damage prior to 30/09/1943 and further raids up to 19/11/1944. Good, clean condition with contemporary annotations with some creasing and staining to bottom edge.  read more

Court mounted pair of medal, Iron Cross 2nd class 1914 issue and the Cross of Honour with swords, typically as worn by a veteran. Cross of Honour clearly maker marked with the ring of the Iron Cross with an unknown maker mark. Good worn condition, with EKII lightly patinated.  read more

Standard issue British Army, all steel jack knife. Known in the cutlery trade as the ' Burma knife ' the all steel knife was designed to replace the traditional knife in tropical theatres. Dated 1945 and manufacturer marked 'SSP ' and ' oil the joint ' with knife blade and integral can and bottle opener. This example has evidence of sharpening to blade and in good, used condition.
