WW2 British All Steel Jack Knife.

Standard issue British Army, all steel jack knife. Known in the cutlery trade as the ' Burma knife ' the all steel knife was designed to replace the traditional knife in tropical theatres. Dated 1945 and manufacturer marked ' E.Blyde & Co.Ltd ' and ' oil the joint ' with knife blade and integral can and bottle opener. This example has a soldier's number forcibly punched into the body, this has done with such enthusiasm that it has pushed the body out of alignment but this does not affect the working of the blades. Good overall condition with signs of sharpening to blade.
