A good example of the scarce 1st Pattern cap worn by ATS o/rs. Distinct with its stitched, soft peak and cloth chinstrap. Constructed from a serge barathea material with a rayon lining. An excellent example of a M15 Adrian helmet 2nd type. Bearing its original flaming grenade badge of Infantry to front it has its correct WW1 brown leather chinstrap with blackened steel buckle. WW2 NSDAP pennant or flag probably for Naval use. Robust, multi-piece construction with swivel halyard fixings and further reinforcing stitch lines to sides and tail to avoid fraying. Double-sided with laid on BeVo embroidered swastikas. 33cms approx in length and 20cms across the base. Good, used condition with some light marking. read more

1938 Dated British Army MKII Steel Helmet.
A very much in ' fresh from the shed ' example, a 1938 dated British Army MKII steel helmet. Early production indicated by the clear date, manufacturer's details and steel batch code stamped to underside rim. This would indicate manufacture by Harrison Bros & Howson of Sheffield.
