Gilt and enamel,finback lapel badge for the Women's Emergency Corps .Founded in 1914 by Evelina Haverfield, Decima Moore, and the Women's Social and Political Union to contribute to the war effort in World War I. The Corps later evolved into the Women's Volunteer Reserve. Maker marked ' W.O.Lewis ' to the reverse and in excellent, bright condition. read more

A heavily used 3rd Patt F.S. Knife which originally carried Wilkinson etches to the blade.This wartime example retains much of it's finish to the ringed grip which has a number ' 3 ' cast into the top . Some minor rubbing and wear to the highpoints . Blade has been heavily sharpened with a stone leaving only partial remains of the two etches, this type and manner of sharpening suggests service ... read more
