AC Delay and Extender.

British Mk1 A.C. Delay for use with the Limpet mine with waterproof extender. This post war modification was used by the SBS to allow the use of different initiators via the AC Delay to fire the Limpet mine. The Mk1 AC Delay was replaced by the larger and more reliable Mk1A so whether this extension was made in order to use up stocks of the obsolescent Mk1 or for another more specific purpose is unknown. These extended Mk1 AC Delays are thought to have originated from the armament research unit at Fort Halstead.
