WW2 Map case - Normandy Interest.
WW2, 1943 dated map case belonging to Tpr.J.Henshaw, 33rd Armoured Brigade, 148th Bat. RAC, 9th Bat. The Loyal Regt. with copy of the original embarkation draft for D Day showing him embarking with jeep no.M5559755 whose number also appears on the outside of the case. Case in good, used condition containing a wartime map of Hamburg.

Ring marked ' SW ' for the maker Sy-Wagner of Berlin and continued in an original presentation case with original ribbon. Plush, recessed pad that lifts from the case with a textured paper lined hinged lid. Case is in rubbed condition with button fixing. read more

Silk armband, with printed details ' 102nd Machine Gun Battalion Headquarters Troop '. In good , clean condition with signs of having been fastened with a safety pin.

CIA issue lock disabling kit. Plastic tube containing a number of plastic ' keys ' which were designed to be inserted into a lock and then snapped off thus rendering the lock ineffective. Excellent unissued condition. read more

WW1 Trench Mirror with bayonet clamp fitting. Stamped to reverse ' SOS save our soldiers Regd No.649083 ' which would indicate manufacture in the US. Good, clean condition, retaining much of it's original khaki finish. read more

WW1 Memorial Scroll to 2/Lt.David, Logan, Rickards 1/4 KOYLI who died 19/12/1915 at the age of 32. Rickards DOW as the result of being gassed, he is buried in Bards Cottage Cemetery, Belgium. It is likely Rickards was a casualty of the First German phosgene attack on British troops which took place on 19 December 1915, , at Wieltje north-east of Ypres.
