Taylor Fighting Knife.

Double-edged,hand drawn, spear-pointed diamond-section blade, brass metal oval crossguard and swollen grip consisting of alternating bands of leather with brass and brass pommel. Blade stamped "[eye] WITNESS TAYLOR SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" with clear signs of cross graining with some light marking .Simple tan leather sheath with 7 brass rivets, integral frog with incised belt loop stamped ' made in England '. Retaining strap now broken.These knives were often seen being used by Commandos and were popular purchases for US servicemen.
