1914 British Enlistment Poster - ' Remember Belgium '.

Poster published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in December 1914 and printed by Henry Jenkinson Ltd, Kirkstall. No.19 in the series, it features a striking image of a Tommy overlooking a burning town and a fleeing mother and child entitled ' Remember Belgium ' ' Enlist To-Day '. The 37cm x 49cm poster is in excellent, clean condition with folds, very minor foxing and tears.  read more

1913 dated nickel whistle by J.Hudson of Barr St. Birmingham accompanied by it's leather holder for attachment to the Sam Browne cross strap. Whistle is broad arrow marked and the 1908 patent number to the cap. Good, used condition with light patination.  read more

A medal / paybook grouping to 5380649 L/Sgt Alfred Thomas Leighton of 1st Btn Ox & Bucks L.I. Leighton was killed on 13/08/1944 probably in the attack on the cross­roads at La Bijude. He was aged 32 and is buried at Banneville-La-Campagne cemetery. His paybook shows him to have been from Stourbridge, Worcs and is prominently marked ' deceased ' and ' KIA '.
