Silver Presentation Cigarette/Card Case - South Lancs Regt.

A high quality, hallmarked silver cigarette and calling card case with calf interior and integral propelling pencil. London marked for 1904, made by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.Ltd with deep engraving to the obverse. Inscribed to Capt.E.C.L'Estrange of the Prince of Wales Volunteers ( South Lancashire Regt. ) surmounting a PWV badge and surrounded by signatures of brother officers who subscribed to it's cost. Signatures are clear and are identified as officers of the 1st and 2nd Battalions in the accompanying research . Excellent, quality item in excellent condition, calf interior a little dry with some minor loss.
