Established as part of the deception plan for Operation Husky, XIV Corps was part of the equally fictitious 12th Army. This formation sign was created and worn at a local level by various minor formations in an attempt to maintain the deception of larger formations held in reserve or strategically placed. Aluminum and enamel, pin back badge featuring an enamelled swastika surmounting the phrase ' Nationale Solidarität ' a phrase coined by Goebbels initially in promoting the Winterhilfswerk campaign but later in symbolising the German war effort. Good, clean condition with undamaged enamel.

LUFTWAFFE TROPICAL WEBBING BELT WITH BLUED BUCKLE.
A very nice example of the ‘blues’ Luftwaffe combat buckle with the correct green webbing/canvas tropical belt. A very nice combination. Buckle has virtually all of the original blue finish, slightly worn in the swastika area. As far as I can see there are no makers marks to the reverse. UNISSUED EK2 IN PAPER PACKET WITH RIBBON.
There have been many of these found over the years as ‘new, old stock’. There were millions made and issued during and before the war. However, they have mostly disappeared and dried up, all going into collections all over the world. This is a mint, unissued Iron Cross second class. A good grouping of a Soldbuch, photographs, Feldpost, diaries and notebooks contained in a leather wallet named to an Unteroffizer Walter Water of the machine gun section of the 4th Uhlan Regiment. The ephemera all appears to be from the 1917/18 period and there are some fine views of the fully equipped machine gun section. All items in good, used condition and would reward further research. read more

A good WW2 Officer's beret for a member of the Berkshire Regiment. Fine serge with a fully lined interior and a soft leather sweatband typical of the high quality tailoring of Burberrys whose label features under the oil cloth protector.
