Another of M.I.9's creations, a pair of swinger compasses in their original wrapping, as issued. Designed to be suspended on a line in water to provide a makeshift compass. Small enough to be concealed in the uniform or in goods sent into POW camps. Good, unused condition.

A Japanese Order of the Golden Kite; 7th Class.In silver with gilded falcon, 41.4 mm x 57 mm, on original ribbon with hook and eye fixing.Instituted in 1890 and conferred for bravery, leadership or command in battle, grades 5-7 were given to be given to o/r in the Army and Navy, it was officially abolished in 1947. Lacquered steel cased rounds dated 1944 manufactured by Waffenwerke Bruenn AG, Werk Bystrica whose ' dou ' code is seen as a head stamp. Label giving manufacturer's details etc present but torn to enable opening of the box. Good, clean condition.

A Kriegsmarine cap tally for the Deutschland-class battleship, Schleswig-Holstein. Laid down in 1895 the ship went on to serve in WW1 being present at Jutland where she received damage. She is probably best known for firing the first shots of World War II when she bombarded the Polish base at Danzig's Westerplatte.
