Coloured Field Service Cap for O/Rs of the Reconniassance Corps. Green wool body with yellow crown and brass cap badge. Size 7 1/4 with a white cotton drill lining and separate cotton headband. German M39 O/R's Breast Eagle. Silver grey cotton eagle on emerald green, rayon backing, using the classic Bevo weave. Good, used condition, folded to shape, slightly grubby with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform. read more

Uncommon WW1 rifle sling for use with the German G98. Full length with butt retention buckle but no stud. Manufacturer marked to sling with issue stamps to buckle with small area of damage but stable and supple. read more
French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet.
Solid brass hilt with working release spring. Scabbard has quite a few dents etc, and looks to have been used as the other half in 'sword fighting'! Scabbard hanging steel loop is missing. Blade is still fairly bright and clean. There are no markings on the spine. Not prime example, but a good display or decorators piece. read more

Markings in script on the spine. "Mre Impale de St Etienne Aout 1867" (Manufactured in the Imperial Armory of St. Etienne in August 1867) Solid brass hilt, release spring present and works. A very good scabbard with light surface rust in a few places but most of the original blued metal finish present.
