Based at RAF Medmenham, the ACIU used AFPU photographs to build an up to date assessment of bomb damage prior to 15/10/1944 and further raids up to 23/12/1944. Stamped manufacturer's details and stamped details including 1940 date to base of projectile. Luftwaffe inspection stamps to all parts. Inert trace element to base of projectile.

Made in Canada for all British Forces during WWII, these waterproofed cotton head and shoulder covers in a camouflage pattern were designed to be worn under the standard steel helmet.
