WW2 Polish 2 Corps & Monte Cassino grouping.

' As found ' grouping from a house clearance contact, this as yet anonymous WW2 Polish grouping will reward further research. Consisting of a numbered 2 Polish Corps badge, Monte Cassino Cross ( 47499 - a number within a block allocated to 11 Provost (Military Police) Squadron Coy. ), Cross of Merit with Swords, the Army Medal with a 39-45 and Italy Star. Medals are accompanied by enamelled, probably Italian made, pillar mounted ' ribbons ' with indications of further, now missing awards. Gaunt made cap badge ( fixings missing ), British made silvered and plastic Polish buttons, a named small brush. and various religious medals and medallions all contained in the box in which they were found.
