A really nice and near mint and perfectly preserved Third Reich Police Shako for the Rural Polizei. As this is ‘Rural Police’ all the leather trim is in chocolate brown. WW2 JAPANESE NCO’s KATANA, PRESENTED TO BRITISH OFFICER.
This is a very nice aluminium hilted NCO Katana. With most of the brown paint remaining on the alloy hilt. It also has a very nice polished steel blade with no blemishes or edge damage. I’ve not seen this one before, but then again throughout the 1930’s there were 100’s or even 1000’s of different Day Badges issued. This one is dated 1938 and on the reverse the actual days 24-26 July. Gelsenkirchen. Round badge, silver (?) plated. A nice eagle and swastika in the center surrounded by flags (?).
