WW2 1939 Wound Award in black. Die stamped steel example with needle pin in excellent, unissued condition with original titled packet. Manufacturer marked L/11 indicating manufacture by Wilhelm Deumer of Lüdenscheid whose details appear to the reverse of the packet. read more

Original second copy combat report retained by pilot for a Mosquito night fighter operation over Normandy on the night of 22/23 June 1944. Flying a Mosquito XIII of 488 Sqn. P/O.O.J.McCabe ( NZ ) accompanied by his navigator W/O.H.O.Watkins intercepted a Ju188 east of Bayeux which was then subsequently shot down crashing onto the beach. This is a wonderful silver plated ‘art deco’ style vase/award made by the famous WMF company (who still exist today). It stands about 8” tall and has a pleasing wavy design around the middle.
