A CASED AWARD OF WAR MERIT CROSS 1st CLASS WITH SWORDS.

A very nice complete award, contained inside the original issue case. KVK 1 with swords. The award is of heavier construction and retains all of the silver finish throughout.It would have been awarded for military combat duties etc Reverse has the ‘coke bottle’ style pin with hook. The pin is stamped with the number ‘1’ for Deschler & Sohn of Munich. Case is in good condition. Interior black flock cushion with faux cream silk lining. Hinges and release button are fine. The silver image of the cross printed on the lid has worn off, although you can see the outline in the right light! Nice complete award.
