A CASED SILVER WAR MERIT CROSS 1st CLASS WITHOUT SWORDS.

A very nice example of this award.KVK 1. As it is without swords was not given for combat duties etc. The cross itself is in near mint condition. No damage and full silver plating throughout. Has ‘coke bottle’ style pin to the reverse with small retaining hook. There is no maker mark as far as I can see. The black case is also in near perfect condition. Black flock lining bed with faux silk inner lid. Hinges and release button all fine. Top of box has silver printed outline of the cross inside.
