German WW1 shoulder board for Leutnant rank of an officer in the Prussian Infantry Regt.8. Sew -in type with subdued wire with Prussian colours in chevron mounted on white cotton underlay indicating Infantry. A now faded gilt ' 8 ' is affixed to the board indicating the Regt. Uncommon o/r's belt buckle for use by the Reichsmarine. Feld Grau painted steel buckle with leather tab dated dated 1927 with full manufacturer's details clearly stamped to one side. Above these marks a slightly fainter impression of an ' M ' over an anchor indicating Reichsmarine ownership. Considering the Reichsmarine were limited to 15,000 personnel this is an unusual buckle.
