Aluminium body with steel roller and prongs with clear manufacturer's markings RZM M4/44 indicating manufacture by Paul Cramer & Co., Lüdenscheid. Flat construction, embroidered ' RO ' brevet with oatmeal coloured thread on black cotton backing. Introduced in May 1941 the ' Observer, Radio ' trade brevet was a misnomer and was in fact worn by radar operators. Short lived and quickly replaced by the Navigator's brevet. Considering this was used at the time and is now well over 100 years old, it’s in pretty good shape.
