Mk.IX, 1917 dated, hand held periscope by R & J.Beck Ltd. Khaki painted brass body with screw off hard wood handle and adjustable ( working ) focusing eyepiece. Entrenching Tool is the classic M1898/09 type with the very discernible pattern specific riveted "turn-backs" to the top blade rim. Blade which has some pitting, is clearly dated 1915 and double manufacturer marked ' Leckmann '. A British, WWII, No.36M MkI Hand Grenade in excellent condition. Complete with 65% of original lacquer with residual filling rings. Manufacturer marking to body appears to be ' C/A. Mc D.' indicating manufacture by Callenders Abbots Foundry Co Ltd Glasgow, Mc Dowall Steven & Co Falkirk. Lever similarly marked ' W & M ' with base plug 1943 dated.
