K98 COMBAT BAYONET WITH ORIGINAL FROG.(with ‘as found’ K98 included )
Part of the items sent to me this week. Not seen light of day since 1979, this K98 bayonet has the Bakelite grips. The nice black leather frog has always been on the bayonet and is the type with a cross-strap. WEHRMACHT COMBAT BUCKLE AND LEATHER BELT.
This has been stored by a collectors daughter since his death in 1979! It was sent to me with 2 K98 bayonets, as the lady has finally decided to pass them on. The brown belt leather is actually in remarkable condition and still supple. The steel Wehrmacht buckle shows some rust to the front but is basically in untouched condition. THIRD REICH CIGARETTE ALBUM ‘DAS NEUE REICH’ IN ORIGINAL CARDBOARD SLEEVE.
Quite a spectacular looking album with striking white cover and title in red letters. The oak leaves and swastika are relief embossed into the cover.
