A particularly good example of the coloured dress FS cap worn by officers of the Pioneer Corps. Rich wool body with an unmarked, lugged silver cap badge with a silk lining with a Moss Bros label to interior. Wire cording to skirts and crown with unmarked silver buttons. An excellent, used example of the woven Salamander sleeve badge worn by No.1 Commando in the period 1941 - 1943. Depicting a green salamander in red and yellow flames. With clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform with a small area of loss of nap to the wool background near the tail of the Salamander. Scarce. read more
