Medal and ephemera grouping to 4079665 Pte.William James Lewis who served in the Monmouths, Recce Corps, HLI and the Cameron Highlanders. It was with the Camerons that Lewis was wounded , probably with the 5th Btn on the opening day of the Goodwood operation on the 18th of July. One piece aluminium Wehrmacht buckle with unit marked leather tab. Faintly manufacturer marked tab with unit markings ' 3./N.24 ' probably signals unit. Buckle not maker marked and in good, used condition with light wear to high points with remains of green finish to reverse.  read more
