A scarce example of a British WW1 No.3 Mk2 Rifle Grenade. Introduced in 1915 this rodded rifle percussion grenade was made by the Cotton Powder Company under ' Hales's Patent ' serving through the war being made obsolete in 1922. This example in excellent condition with a possible repaint scheme ( if it is, it has been done very well ) with the wind vane collar marked ' The Cotton Powder Co., London, Hales Patent '. The collar has a break ( see photos ) and has been attached for ease of display otherwise an excellent and scarce example. Fully strippable and INERT.
