RAF Air Gunners' Badge.

Scarce cast brass, winged vertical bullet signifying RAF qualified air gunner. Brought into being by AMO 204 of 1923 it was worn into the Second World War until made obsolete by the AG half brevet. In good, worn condition, with two loops present, patinated overall.  read more

Silver Vesta case by Asprey hallmarked Birmingham 1916 with sprung hinge enclosing three compartments engraved ' HMW from FWR 48th Brigade, France 1916 '. Coming from the estate of Henry Maitland Wilson who was to become Field Marshall Lord Wilson of Libya, Wilson served in France from 1914 being appointed Brigade Major of the 48th Brigade in the 16th Irish Division. MM, War Medal and Victory trio to ' 232918 Pte.R.P.Walton 2/ Lond. R.' Court mounted by Spinks, probably in the 1960's with medals polished and then lacquered. Officially impressed as issued, with the MM bearing the number after the battalion was renumbered in 1917.
