WW2 RAF slouch hat. Salty example of the WW2 pattern slouch hat with a very faded RAF puggaree flash to one side. In a nice touch there is a bus ticket for a Calcutta ( present day Kolkota ) bus company hidden under the ribbon. Puggaree is faded and disrupted and the liner is now missing. SOE/OSS Spring Cosh.
A good example of the spring cosh made for the OSS and SOE.
18.5cms long when closed and 43cms extended with a contemporary paracord lanyard. A little over 8000 coshes were manufactured by the Timms Spring Co. of Ohio of which 1000 were delivered to the British Ministry of Supply.
This example in good operable condition with some minor wear and scratches and toned overall.
