Standschuetzen were the traditional shooting guilds/clubs that existed in Austria, and apparently towards the end of WWII their members were formed into home defence units rather like the Volkssturm. THIRD REICH RUSSIAN FRONT MEDAL.

A good example of the WW2 Russian Front medal with original ribbon. Awarded during the winter campaign period of 15 November 1941 to 15 April 1942. It was instituted on 26 May 1942 and was commonly known as the Ostmedaille.
In very good overall condition, grey background slightly faded, but good definition. No maker on the suspension ring as far as I can see.  read more
