A good example of the WW2 Russian Front medal with original ribbon. Awarded during the winter campaign period of 15 November 1941 to 15 April 1942. It was instituted on 26 May 1942 and was commonly known as the Ostmedaille.
In very good overall condition, grey background slightly faded, but good definition. No maker on the suspension ring as far as I can see.  read more

Also marked ' S.R. ' to the top of the hilt indicting possible later reissue ? Above average condition with large numbers of inspection stamps to both bayonet and scabbard.  read more
