WW1 No.5 Mk.I Hand Grenade, known more colloquially as the ' Mills '. Good example, has a 1915 dated alloy base plug by ' Falkirk ' - Falkirk Iron Co. Ltd., with brass filler plug and alloy core with ' V ' and ' A ' markings to body. All parts present and fully strippable. Retains a small amount of original finish.

Beloved and banned, Crown and Anchor was a traditional English game, originating from the 18th century when it was a popular gambling game in the royal navy and fishing fleets and was played extensively by troops in WW1 and after. The most interesting is the August 16 1940 edition of the Daily Mirror!
