Luftwaffe ELAZ (25) B Electrical Impact Fuze.
1942 dated Luftwaffe ELAZ (25) B electrical impact fuze. Employed in most of the HE bombs from SC50 - SC500, it contains four firing circuits, three of which are under B plunger. A screw in the fuze head operates a switch which cuts out the two short delay circuits, leaving only the long delay circuit under plunger B. Good clean condition with clear markings.

Patent Record - HE T 20mm - 40mm Projectiles.
1934 Official record of a patent specification lodged by Heinrich Romberg on behalf of Rheinmetall for high explosive tracer shells. The patent seems to outline the use of the tracer compound to destroy the round on failure to hit a target where it would be initiated by the fuze.
