Luftwaffe Officer's Fliegerbluse - Fl.Stabsingenieur

An example of an issue Luftwaffe Officer's fliegerbluse for the rank of - Fl.Stabsingenieur in the Luftwaffe Corps of Engineers. Pink piped, sew-in shoulder straps with pink backed, bullion collar boards showing a propeller blade within a wreath for the rank of Fl.Stabsingenieur, the equivalent of a Major. Bullion cord has been professionally added to the collar by the addition of an additional strip which has been zig-zag machine stitched. Original hand applied bullion officer's breast eagle to left breast with a KVKII ribbon overlayed by a bar to the WW1 EKII ( marked L/4 ) to the button hole with a number of contemporary award loops to the left breast. Wool body retains most of it's nap with some wear to the collar and all original buttons. Sleeve closures are intact and are fastened to the interior. Interior has a half cotton lining with belt loops and dressing pocket intact. Issue stamps can be made out to left breast pocket indicating manufacture in 1942. The front of the tunic has some additional press stud fixings added to complete a smart appearance. Excellent example of a tunic to a rarely encountered branch of the Luftwaffe.
