Uncommon WW2 British Generator, Lachrymatory, No. 2 Mk IV. The device was a pyrotechnic smoke grenade designed primarily for riot control and training. Rather than exploding, it burned at a very high temperature to release a thick cloud of irritating chemical smoke.
