RAF Officer's service dress cap badge.

Good, used RAF Officer's service dress cap badge. Mounted centrally, a gilt eagle with bullion laurel leaves below, surmounted by a bullion crown embroidered on a red cushion. All mounted on to a black padded shaped patch. Evidence of having been removed from a cap, a good example.

1st. Pattern, droop-tail, Luftwaffe belt buckle. Die-struck aluminium example with a good deep striking giving excellent detail. This particular example has very little evidence of anything other than light wear. Very difficult to upgrade.

WW1 Battye Bomb.

WW1 Battye Bomb.

1914/15 extemporised grenade so-called Battye or Bethune bomb. This cast iron, ammonal filled grenade was designed by Capt.B.C.Battye RE and manufactured at the First Army Workshops. Rough cast and grooved on the surface to aid fragmentation they were closed with a wooden plug and detonated by a short length of safety fuze and a Nobel igniter. This example is in good solid condition with wooden plug and the remains of the safety fuze. INERT

Sectioned Switch No.10 Time Pencil.

INERT Switch No.10, Time Pencil. Widely used by SOE and special forces this delay action fuze was used in conjunction with a detonator or Bickford cord to set off explosives. This example has a red safety strip indicating a 30 minute delay. The pencil was initiated by crushing the copper tube that shrouds a glass ampuole containing corrosive liquid. This example has been sectioned to show the inner workings but is missing the acetone ampoule. This example in good condition with some crushing to the copper sleeve that covered the ampoule.

Switch No.3,Release,Mark I booby trap switch

This British booby trap switch was designed to fire on release of pressure. It was designed so that it could be inconspicuously placed under crates, packages or other suitable items. This example is in good, original condition with 85%+ paintwork and has an acceptance stamp to the interior. Comes complete with percussion cap and fuze holder and original setting/safety pin. INERT

WW1 British wristwatch protective cover.

WW1 nickel protective cover for a wristlet or wristwatch. Attached by use of the strap these covers became popular from 1914 making 'trench watches'. This example in excellent condition with a registered number stamped to one side.

Late pattern one piece insignia for the M43 cap worn by Ncos and enlisted personnel. Machine embroidered silver/white eagle and red/white/black cotton rosette on blue grey backing. Previously removed from a cap and in good condition.

Printed wartime Airborne Forces formation sign or Pegasus. First introduced in 1942 and designed by Major E.Seago based on the Greek saga of the winged horse Pegasus and his rider Bellerophon. This right-facing example in good condition with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform.

An excellent pair of 1940 Patt. Battledress trousers. Size No.11 - 5ft 9ins-5ft 10ins with a waist 33-34ins. Faintly dated 'May 1941' with intact label, ankle closures and all buttons and in excellent condition. Some very minor areas of moth grazing (not clearly visible) and one 2mm hole to the rear. All in all, an excellent pair of '40 Patt. BD trousers in a large and wearable size.

KIA Flak Wehrpass.

KIA Flak Wehrpass.

Wehrpass for Gefr. Rudolf Weick of 10/Fl.Rgt.22 who was killed on 28.06.44. He was awarded an EKII and the wound badge in black and saw service in France and Italy. Well filled in Wehrpass with accompanying cover and letter of condolence from the Battery commander and a letter addressed to his father returning the Pass. In excellent clean condition.
