WW2 Airborne Forces formation sign.
Printed wartime Airborne Forces formation sign or Pegasus. First introduced in 1942 and designed by Major E.Seago based on the Greek saga of the winged horse Pegasus and his rider Bellerophon. This right-facing example in good condition with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform.
1940 Patt. Battledress trousers.
An excellent pair of 1940 Patt. Battledress trousers. Size No.11 - 5ft 9ins-5ft 10ins with a waist 33-34ins. Faintly dated 'May 1941' with intact label, ankle closures and all buttons and in excellent condition. Some very minor areas of moth grazing (not clearly visible) and one 2mm hole to the rear. All in all, an excellent pair of '40 Patt. BD trousers in a large and wearable size.
KIA Flak Wehrpass.
Wehrpass for Gefr. Rudolf Weick of 10/Fl.Rgt.22 who was killed on 28.06.44. He was awarded an EKII and the wound badge in black and saw service in France and Italy. Well filled in Wehrpass with accompanying cover and letter of condolence from the Battery commander and a letter addressed to his father returning the Pass. In excellent clean condition.
Battle damaged Croatian War souvenir.
Souvenir from the Croatian War of Independence 1991-95, a battle damaged Serb helmet. A Yugoslavian model Ne44 helmet probably produced at the Serbian arsenal of Kragujevac, with a red star stencilled onto a sage green background. This example shows considerable shrapnel damage to the front and the crown of the helmet and corresponding damage to the internal liner. In excellent used condition with some corrosion to the shrapnel exit holes, minor abrasions and wear to paintwork.
Switch No.12.Mk.I
Scarce 1945 dated, Switch No.12.Mk.I, British booby trap device. Using a similar body to the Switch No.8 but instead of firing a projectile, a spigot explosive device was fired. Based on a release process, the device fired contained a mixture of RDX and TNT explosive. This example in excellent condition with clear markings. INERT
NSKK Old Fighters' Chevron.
Embroidered, silver wire on tan cotton sown onto a wool backing. Awarded to members of the NSKK who had been members of the Nazi Party before January 1933, the 'Alte Kampfer' wore this on the brown shirt and the khaki/tan tunic. This example in excellent, bright condition and unmothed. A few wire strands detached, otherwise superb condition. Uncommon.
WW1 British pocket compass.
White metal cased, 1918 dated, British pocket compass. Compass contained in a white metal case opened by push button with the maker's detailsDennison, Birmingham and date stamped to the lid. Bright polished interior with stamped serial number. Luminous dial in good working order, case in good used condition with some light surface wear and scratching contained in it's original leather pouch.
WW1 RAF/RFC pair with paperwork.
WW1 War Medal and Victory to 47988. 2.A.M. W.A.TEEGE. R.A.F. with notebook, discharge papers for RAF and RFC, pass for RAF Andover and RFC and RAF Christmas cards. Served with the RFC from 1916 with the Engine Repair Shops in France and then with the RAF from April 1918. Medals mounted as worn, patinated. A group with some research potential.
