1st Battalion Royal Hants Battledress C1946
1944 dated ' 1940 Patt Battledress Blouse ' with badges for the 1st Battalion Royal Hampshire Regiment whilst serving with 1st Infantry Division in Palestine. The combination of insignia is still configured in the wartime manner but would indicate approx. 1946 . ( The 1st Batt served in palestine from 1945 to 1946 ). The wartime BD is in generally good, used condition with dart alterations to the reverse. Moth damage to r/h pocket and minor wear to belt closure. An interesting transitional piece between wartime and peace.
4 Recce 'Black Panther' regimental flash.
The 4th Reconnaissance Battalion adopted a 'regimental' flash worn on both sleeves. The flash took the form of a leaping black panther on a yellow and green background split diagonally. 4 Recce fought in the breakthrough to Tunis, and chased the enemy round Cape Bon. Fought from March to November 1944, in Italy and was then sent to help deal with the civil disturbances in Greece. Printed on cotton and in excellent unissued condition.

Scarce and useful WW2 1943ed manual 'Field Engineering Pamphlet No.9 British Booby Traps'. 59pgs covering all of the major switches and fuzes including the less common No.7 switch. 7th Armoured/RAC grouping.
Medal and paperwork grouping to 7938022 Tpr.Norman,Goodall Gee. Medal entitlement confirmed by endorsements to accompanying paybook and demonstrates extensive service with 7th Armoured in Africa, Italy and Europe. Along with various passes which indicate possible service with 3/4th County of London Yeomanry, the group is accompanied by used 7th Armoured Div. sign and unused, printed RAC shoulder title. Medals contained in their original envelopes and their original box. An attempt has been made to obscure the name and address but it is still legible. Also accompanied by an HMSO publication 'The Royal Armoured Corps'. A good grouping worthy of further research.
SOE code silk.
Highly uncommon, wartime enciphering key printed on silk as used by SOE and other clandestine forces. Using the one-time pad system of encription this key was used for encoding and decoding messages and was printed on silk for it's durability and ease of concealment, particularly in clothes. This particular example 40cms x 27cms approx is in excellent, clean condition with some fraying to edges.

UNCLEANED CASED IMPERIAL IRON CROSS 1st CLASS.

Case itself is very nice, a quality flatter type, black outer finish in virtually 100%, inside silk top lining and beautiful purple velvet cushon base. Cross itself has toned very dark. Center has all original black paint. Reverse has original owners initial scratched into the toned surface.Nice 'coke bottle' type pin back. No maker as far as I can see.A great looking cased EK1.
SUPER HUNTING ASSOCIATION (DJ) SMALL BANNER. RARE.
SUPER HUNTING ASSOCIATION (DJ) SMALL BANNER. RARE. Third Reich Hunting Association, Deutche Jagerschaft, items are always fun to get, and actually the flags and pennants are difficult to find. This is a great, double sided, small, free hanging green cloth pennant measuring about 12"x7". Beautifully embroidered with the 'DJ' symbol of a stags scull and antlers, with swastika in between. A black wooden pole runs through the top of the cloth, ending in stylized acorns. Green tassel edges the bottom on the cloth. I have only ever seen or owned ONE of these before, and this one is in perfect condition. Would look fantastic with other Hunting or Forestry items.
British POW dogtag.
Zinc dogtag issued to a British POW in Stalag IVB. Stalag IV-B was one of the largest prisoner of war camps in Germany during World War II. The main camp was located 8km NE of the town Mühlberg in Brandenburg, just east of the Elbe river and about 30 miles (50 km) north of Dresden. It was liberated by the Russians in April 1945. In good condition with original cords.
WW2 Japanese Type 'I' rifle.
6.5mm calibre Japanese Type 'I' rifle. Stemming from a mutual aid agreement between the three Axis powers the Type 'I' was a design featuring characteristics of both the Japanese Type 38 and the Italian Carcano. Produced in Italy to an order placed by the Japanese Navy, the contract for 60,000 rifles was completed by 1939 and this example is typical. In excellent condition with tight action and a high percentage of original bluing remaining. Unusually for Japanese weapons the wood has survived in similarly good order. An uncommon example. DEACTIVATED available within UK only
