The standard German soldiers soft cap of WW1, this example of the 07 Pat Feldmutze indicates Prussian issue with its state cockade. Field grey wool body with red crown piping band with state and national cockades. Heavy cotton lining has clear issue stamp and date 1916. Possible name now obliterated. A PROPERLY USED LUFTWAFFE SIDE/OVERSEAS CAP.
Purchased from my trip to America, this is an absolute original Luftwaffe blue wool side cap (overseas cap as Americans call them). The Luftwaffe blue wool has faded with age and use but I think just adds to the total originality. The clothes eagle and roundel are sewn to the front. Been there since new!!
