WW1 German postcard view of a knocked out British Mk.IV tank named ' Black Arrow II '. Commanded by 2/Lt.J.O.Evans the tank was ' B28 ' of the 5th Company of B Battalion and was knocked out and captured on 23/11/1917. Differing in quite a few ways, the main one being its 2/3rds the size of a standard Wehrmacht bread bag. It’s in tan cotton fabric with darker edges. A particularly clean example of the Princess Mary Gift tin, the type given to non-smokers with a bullet pencil. Tin with bright finish with a 1914 dated MkVI.303 bullet pencil by Kynoch on original packing card. Pencil in unused condition with silver, unmarked head and monogrammed case.
