Royal Carmarthen Militia, O/R's shako plate C1800-16.

A very uncommon die-stamped brass example of an O/R's shako plate of the Royal Carmarthen Militia from the period 1800 - 16 . It takes the form of being simply the Prince of Wales’s crest, with the distinctive fan shape coronet. In good overall condition with some verdigris and only one remaining of the three original soldered on, soft iron loop fasteners. (approx. 11cm x 9cm)  read more

23rd Hussars collar badges.

Pair of white metal collar badges for the 23rd Hussars. Raised in 1940 this armoured cavalry regiment was assigned to 29th Armoured Brigade of 11th Armoured Division and took serious casualties in Normandy. It was disbanded in Jan 1946 having fought through into Germany. Both badges in good clean condition with all lugs.  read more

Cased set of Officer's dress shoe buckles. Late Georgian/ early Victorian gilt shoe buckles for wear by an officer of the Cameron Highlanders. The gilt and leather buckles are rivetted on to a blued steel backing with steel retainers marked left and right. Similar construction for the smaller strap buckles.
