THIRD REICH WEHRMACHT ALLOY BELT BUCKLE..
An interesting piece as it’s received heavy wear to the front and has removed most of the detail to the eagle etc. As aluminium is quite soft, I can only imagine he wore something else over the belt/buckle that caused the smoothness. Great detail otherwise. This is a one piece cast aluminium buckle with integral belt loop catch. Reverse has remains of original olive green paint. Makers mark of ... read more
COMPLETE WW2 LUFTWAFFE BELT AND BUCKLE.
A very nice souvenir Luftwaffe OR’s or NCO’s brown leather service belt and steel buckle. Belt shows a little age to the leather but is very serviceable. Is marked at one end, but the stamping is indistinguishable. The steel buckle is lovely with most of the original blued finish still there, with normal wear to the high points. This has either been done by the original owner, perhaps as a POW, or done by the veteran who bought this back as a souvenir. This is an early brown leather Luftwaffe OR’s or NCO’s belt, along with the early 1st type buckle with ‘droop tailed’ Luftwaffe eagle. At some time the original... read more
