This has long been miss-identified as the ‘SA Sports Association symbol, but in fact this was part of the SA known as the Wehrmannschaft. A conscripted force that was basically the SA ‘home guard’.

Has RZM circle and maker code of M1/42, indicating manufacture by Kerbach & Israel of Dresden.
